Maine

Maine defines an electronic weapon as a portable device or weapon from which an electrical current, impulse, wave or beam may be directed, which current, impulse, wave or beam is designed to have a disabling effect upon human beings. Criminal use of an electronic weapon is a Class D crime.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts defines an electronic weapon as a portable device or weapon from which an electrical current, impulse, wave or beam may be directed, which current, impulse, wave or beam is designed to incapacitate temporarily, injure or kill.

Michigan

Michigan defines an electronic weapon as a harmful electronic or electromagnetic device.

The sentences depend on the degree of impairment of a body function or death.

Russia

Electronic harassment is forbidden in Russia.

They also outlawed the microwave oven soon after its invention. Microwave ovens can be used to build harassment devices.
